why would they do this at an airport?? #shorts
People are having mixed feelings about this.
The Fairbanks International Airport in Alaska is planning to deploy a dog-like robot named Aurora to deter wildlife such as foxes, coyotes, birds, and rabbits from the airport grounds.
The robot, manufactured by Boston Dynamics and based on their Spot model, is designed to move around the airport and scare away animals that could potentially cause issues if they were to come into contact with planes.
Now, these robots are being sold for $70,000 each, and about the size of a golden retriever.
Despite the airport's intentions, some Alaskans have expressed concerns about the robot, ranging from its unsettling insect-like movements to fears that it may be used for surveillance purposes. Would you prefer this over a regular security dog ?
