Congressional UAP hearings have faced repeated delays, initially scheduled for May, then pushed to August, September, and now indefinitely, largely because witnesses are experiencing what Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna termed "SCIF flu." These individuals, possessing firsthand knowledge of recovered UAP craft and non-human biologics, are reluctant to testify even in secure, classified settings, citing fears of death threats and career destruction. Luna, who chairs the House Task Force of UAP Transparency, has openly expressed her frustration with the lack of progress and the systemic issues hindering disclosure.
Luna's frustration extends to the very office established to facilitate UAP disclosure, the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO). In a conversation with Mat Laslo on Ask A Pol, Luna bluntly stated, "I think AARO should be cut... It's a joke," indicating her belief that AARO is ineffective and not serving its purpose as a "safe space" for whistleblowers. This sentiment is echoed by others, including Lou Elizondo, who claimed the FBI's independent UFO investigations are "running laps around" AARO.
