What will happen when the world's largest religion is faced with a shocking scenario such as a confirmation that intelligent life is out there in the Universe, and visiting our world..? The fact is that 31.7% of the world's population, which is approximately 2.184 billion people belong to the Christian Church in all of it's denominations. Would such a scenario cause a massive surge of panic in churches and congregations worldwide..? Or are there caveats in the Bible that allow for such a paradigm shift..?
In this episode, I discuss these questions with Theologian and prolific Author Paul Thigpen.
Paul Thigpen is a native of Savannah, Georgia, and grew up on one of the sea islands along the Georgia coast. He received a B.A. in Religious Studies from Yale University and earned an M.A. and Ph.D. from Emory University. He has served on the theology faculty of several colleges and universities and is currently editor for TAN Books, a publishing company based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Paul is an award-winning journalist and the best-selling author of sixty books. His works have been translated into a dozen languages and published around the world.
