Mountain Dew wants their sodas to be abducted by aliens. There was a small UFO rally in New York City simulating black holes with quantum tornadoes in super fluid helium. And kids are encouraged to hunt for Bigfoot in Georgia. That and so much more of all the articles that we'll be covering right here today on Strangest News of the Week. (00:48) Hello and welcome to all of my first time viewers and listeners. And of course, everyone watching this live, all the news items we go over in the show. I will place all the links to them in the description box below once this live show is over. And by the way, the description box is your friend. Take a look at it. (01:04) Get familiar with it as you will find important stuff there. Also, we do three live shows right here every single week covering UFOs, the paranormal and mysterious events anything strange and mysterious so make sure to subscribe and also comment any of your favorite articles that we'll be covering today the first thing we're going to talk about is mountain dew because it was what yesterday I want to say you know it was two days ago on alien abduction day I didn't even know that was a thing okay they have made a new drink called (01:42) hard mountain dew which has a little bit of alcohol in it and they thought to themselves you know what you know what we're gonna do guys we are gonna make a whole landing pad we're gonna live stream it and we're gonna wait for aliens to abduct the drink and in their mind mountain dew's mind they're like the best drink so You can't find that live stream now. (02:04) I did look for it because I actually watched a little bit of it live just to kind of get an idea of what was going on on March 20th. And I felt really bad for them. It only had like five people watching. And I was like, okay, I'm going to go back to it and kind of skim through it to see if anything at all interesting showed up. (02:23) I checked the very next day and the stream was gone. So... You just got to take my word for it on this one. But here was their advertising photo. You're also able to see it on the thumbnail for today's show. It's pretty cool. You have Mountain Dew, you have an alien, and you have a flying saucer, and it's all being abducted with the drink. (02:43) And it was promoting the Baja Blast. And this is significant because during the Super Bowl – There were a handful of UFO themed commercials. And if you haven't seen the analysis on the Super Bowl UFO commercials, you can find it right here on this channel. And I'll put a card up here for you to look at. (03:03) But in the Baja Blast commercial, they had just one clip, one clip of and her name escapes me, Aubrey Plaza. Someone someone's going to correct me on that. She was being abducted by aliens. And she said, probe me already to go in with that humor. but here was the landing pad that they created for these aliens to abduct I guess a bunch of cans and oh it was displaying 100 hard mountain dew baja blast mix packs I think that was pretty interesting I think it was worth a shot it didn't land the advertising really wasn't there for it (03:43) people weren't familiar with the live stream happening because it was a 24 7 live stream of the alien abduction zone But if I had to guess, because again, that live stream is deleted, you can't find it. I was probably going to guess it was anywhere from like 12 to maybe 16 hours long of a stream. Now, this is going to be significant. (04:03) Moving on to our next article. And I do want to say hello to people catching this live. We got Charles. We got Zenza. We got Hydes. We got Joy and Asad. Love it. Paul, Marty, welcome, welcome. dickie good to see you guys here if you're liking that show so far hit the like button right down below okay getting into our next one talking about this and it was a ufo rally that took place in new york city this is not political by any means unless you really want it to be but here we're focusing on ufos because let me find my (04:35) exact notes for this one because this was really meant to raise awareness, to gather support, and to urge government officials to release information related to UAP sightings. And the group was created by Daniel Sheehan's New Paradigm Institute. And it was to support Senator Chuck Schumer's disclosure efforts that took place on Thursday in New York City. (05:04) Were you familiar with it? Like, honestly, if you're not a part of UFO Twitter, there wasn't a lot of information on it. I tried looking everywhere that I could, and I saw like a few small articles here and there. But it didn't take off the way that I think many people expected it to. But if you are a part of UFO Twitter, then you most definitely saw it. (05:28) What did you think about it? How do you think the idea of a rally went in general? Do you think it was wise to bring up a senator into this to put a face on it or just to push for it? uap disclosure without a government face let me know down below let me know in the live chat I would like to read it out loud because it's um and I don't want to I don't want I do not want to get political here by any means but just just your idea should we apply a face or no face when conducting any kind of ufo rally marty says so (06:03) schumer's on board d7 says hi from across the pond well hello there he John says, I saw someone posted on Discord. Tyler says, I only just heard about this on the new Paradigm's Insta, Instagram. Yes. Yeah. People didn't really know about it. Shem says, better to have no face when talking about UFO disclosure and rallies. (06:30) So does this person, Neutros, Neutros, Neutros. Wow. I think the more I say it, the more I just dig a hole for myself. But yes. And so does your follow. That's a funny name. Are you follow? Yeah, no face. I'm kind of I'm kind of with you on that one. I think a no face is just kind of more universal. People are able to relate to it better. (06:53) And then when you add a political face, people are always going to make it political. Right. That's just how it works. So it didn't land as good as it it was expected to. But what it says here, according to the new Paradigm Institute, there were recent calls to action that resulted in over 22,000 emails to Capitol Hill. (07:18) And now the initiative is beginning to allocate funding to support its ongoing efforts. I think that is pretty interesting. I think it's a really, really great forward because the group, this organization, New Paradigms Institute is really and including the rally. Right. It was really aiming to just bring up awareness, to gather that support, to urge government officials to just release information about UAP sightings. (07:46) And the group engages in activities that include organizing rallies, lobbying officials and spreading information to the public to further their cause. Someone's got to do it. You know, that's just kind of the biggest takeaway. Someone's got to do it. And these people here in the New Paradigms Institute, they're putting their foot down. (08:07) They're like, we are going to be those people. So on the plus side, I think that is really, really awesome. Next thing I'm going to say is very important, and that is if you didn't know, I do write bite sized articles for all of the shows covered right here. And you can find the articles on Medium or on my website. (08:27) That link is down below. So if you're more of a reader instead of like watching videos, those articles are going to be your best friend. Take a look at that link right down below. Getting into our next one. This one I am so excited for. I love this idea so much. And someone, a Debbie Downer, is going to say, Christina, I don't like this idea. (08:48) That's okay. We don't have to all agree, but I love this idea. Because the dense forest of Athens, Georgia, they're having a Sasquatch adventure for kids. Let me continue with this because I think this is really cool. So it's hosted by the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services Department, which is a government funded department. (09:15) And it's it's actually for this Saturday. By the way, if you live in Athens, if you live in Georgia, go on over. It's going to be fun, hopefully. So what they're doing here is that they are just saying this is a great activity for kids to be active in the forest. We are going to look for Bigfoot. (09:32) It's going to be for a few hours, and it's the age from 10 years old and up. It's going to take place on Saturday between 10 and 2 p.m. local time. And what's really cool about this is that they're going to have – with them in the group, highly trained government staff to track animal signs, assess the habitat, and experiment with calls in a thrilling search for Sasquatch. (09:57) Let me tell you why this is cool. Let me tell you why this is exciting to me. Number one, kids, all right? They are the foundation of our future. They are our future. Number two, When you provide them something so beautiful, like going into the forest, just that in itself, but with a bunch of other people where you're able to just explore, like Christopher Columbus, solid 10. (10:21) The next thing is looking for a cryptid. You know, could you imagine the hype for some of these children to think to themselves, I'm going to be the first person. I'm going to be the pioneer. I'm going to be the one, right? And then they hold on to that passion for the rest of their lives. We can even make this into another topic, not Bigfoot. (10:40) It could be to look for the biggest anaconda, right? That we've heard rumors in the Amazon for decades, if not almost centuries, and they just found a ginormous one. what, a month or two ago, when before it was just rumors and myth. The thing is that kids have these beautiful imaginations, and they are able to hold that with them for the rest of their lives. (11:05) This is why many of you that are watching this, listening to this, are here right now, engaged in this channel, in this show, because you are interested in the strange and the interesting topics a lot of them don't have answers but you know what it piques our curiosity and that will never change if you're a child or an adult so I think for me this is the coolest thing ever let me ask you this if you have a kid if you were to have a kid would you take them on this kind of adventure with a bunch of other people I (11:38) think it's cool that the leisure services department is the one organizing this I think it's a cool start forward. Oh, and with, okay. Another really interesting fact about this specific Sasquatch adventure is that the part of the Athens forest that they're going to is usually closed, like usually off limits for hikers, but they're opening it up for this Sasquatch adventure. (12:08) That just makes it more interesting. Don't you think? Hmm. But now let me bring it back on to you. What do you think? Donna says, absolutely. Yes. Yes. Cindy says, maybe. Okay, if you're not like an avid hiker or don't like bugs, I can get that. Yeah. Marty says, I would have taken my son so that my spouse would not have allowed it. (12:35) What? Rock says, yes, my son loves the forest. We already... We already go looking for Bigfoot in the woods. I love it. Love it. That's awesome. Ufolo says, nope, no kids for Bigfoot hunt. Maybe when they become teenagers. Okay, I can see that. Javier says, ooh, that would be fun. I think so too. Oh, hi, this is cool. (13:07) I take my kids squatching, found tree structures, doubtful they were squatches. But you know what? Just asking your kids that, what do you think? Love it. Let me provide you an example on this. Growing up, I've always had an inquisitive father. He's still like that today. Whenever I had a question on trying to understand the environment, right, or even like a school question, my dad would always say, let's think about it. (13:37) He would never, oh, and it was awful at the time, but he would never give me an answer in that moment. He would say, let's think about it. And I'm like, dad. For the love of everything holy, I don't care. I just want the answer. Now, today, as an adult, I see the value in that. Because now I think to myself, let's try to resolve the issue or ask the right questions and think about it before getting flustered or angry or maybe even irrational. (14:12) Do you see that? So if you have a young one, maybe start implementing it. They're not going to love it in that moment, but they definitely will when they get older. Next thing. Next article, excuse me. And actually... You see this cut? Only Patreon members can get it, okay? Along with all of my other exclusive merch. (14:39) You want some behind the scenes? You want extra content and commentary? Chaos? Check out Patreon. That link is right down below. Oh, and here's what's really, really awesome. Is that... For a special day in April, I'll be hosting an event to answer your questions in real time, be able to speak with you in real time, and to hold conversations with you in real time. (15:00) More details about that will be on Patreon. If you are interested, you can find that link right down below in all of Christina's socials. Getting into our next one. This is so exciting. Why? Because I don't know what it is. I don't. But black holes have this amazing special place in my heart, which makes no sense because it wouldn't be in my heart. (15:21) It would be in my stomach because I can eat and eat and eat and it doesn't go anywhere. All right. So let's talk about this because this is really cool. Because scientists have created a simulation of black holes using quantum tornadoes and superfluid helium, which could lead to a better understanding of the universe. (15:42) Why? Because we don't actually know a lot about black holes. They have been theoretical since 1972 when the first one was accidentally found. Albert Einstein had theorized them using solely math equations in the early 1900s. 1972, they're like, what is that? What is going on here? And they found their very first black hole on the first image of of a black hole was released and I'm using that word heavily was released in 2017. (16:20) so we've known about them for a few decades but we don't really know that much about them and so there's been a handful of simulations of black holes for the last I want to say at the very least the last 10 years we've covered through strange news a good amount of like black hole news and this one this one's new at least to me where they are creating quantum tornado tornadoes that like that needs to be a word tornadoes in super fluid helium let's go into more detail on this Because black holes are objects at the limit of our (16:56) physical theories at this point in time. And studying them in a lab would be ideal, but impractical due to their very destructive nature. So by cooling helium to a few degrees above absolute zero, it becomes a superfluid. which then exhibits quantum mechanical properties such as a frictionless flow and the formation of vortices that rotate indefinitely. (17:27) And then researchers have confined tens of thousands of these quantum vortices in a compact object resembling a small tornado, achieving a record-breaking vortex flow strength in the realm of quantum fluids. What does that mean for all of my non-science space nerds? A lot. Okay, so here's the biggest takeaway. (17:55) The biggest takeaway is that they are creating or simulating black holes. Like, that's just the biggest thing. Now, people are going to bring up, well, what do you think about CERN, Christina? Isn't CERN doing that? If they are, that information has not been made public, so it is difficult for me to address it. (18:11) Actually, there's a lot of conspiracies when it comes to CERN, and we're... I'm gonna just bring that part up, but I'm not gonna go into more detail on that. You can on your own time, but black holes have just been a fascination since the early 1900s into 1972, all the way into 2024. It just, it captivates not only the imagination, but it also captivates our scientists' minds to better understand our current physical theories that we have in place, quantum mechanics, even physics, All of these things, (18:49) we have an idea of how they work, but black holes could maybe open another door to give us even a better understanding of what we think we might already know. And I'm using that sentence structure very loosely because here's the thing, my favorite quote of all time by Aristotle, and that is, to know all is to know nothing. (19:09) When you think you know it all, your brain is already full. No extra information can be put into it. But if you always tell yourself there is more I can learn, you see the cup as half empty, but then you can pour more water, pour more information into your mind. And this is when you have the capacity to learn more than what you could have ever expected a few years prior, a few decades prior, so on and so forth. (19:37) And so that's why I really like to live by that quote, which is to know all is to know nothing. Steve says, I like that quote. It's good. And you know what? We can apply it to our everyday lives. It's not some super cliche quote that you hear like, oh, that's cute. And then you forget about it. (19:57) Not this one. You can definitely live by it. Chris says, you learn until your last breath. Amen, brother. That is so true. So here's a little bit more information on these black holes because using superfluid helium allows for a more realistic simulation of spacetime and black holes compared to previous experiments using water and sound waves as the extremely low viscosity of superfluid helium enables meticulous investigation of surface waves and their interaction with superfluid tornadoes. (20:42) Love it. And the latest results show interactions to what is expected around black holes. And this approach could help study how quantum fields behave in rotating and curved space time. So this this is listen to this. It's cool. Because the research, it began in 2017 with clear signatures of black hole physics observed in the initial analog experiment. (21:12) But it has now been taken to the next level and could eventually lead to predictions of quantum field behavior in curved space times around astrophysical black holes. Here's a takeaway from that. Science and experiments take a long time. But in terms of science and experiments, this is pretty speedy. 2017, here we are in 2024. (21:37) We're getting some pretty cool results. It takes a lot. It takes a lot of time, effort, brains, and data to conduct experiments. So we got to give them some props. You know what? More power to them. They are pretty awesome. These scientists doing this super awesome research. We have one more article for you. (21:58) And this wouldn't be the strangest news of the week without AI. I love talking about AI and robot advancements because it is our future and we are seeing it evolve in real time right in front of our eyes. This is insane. So let's talk about this because people always say, you know what, you know what? if we were ever going to integrate robots into the world, it should be in government jobs, okay? Because they're the ones making the laws and they want to get rid of people and turn them into robots. (22:33) What if we just Flip it back on them and make them into robots, which whenever you call the IRS, the DMV, any government agency, it is like you are talking to a robot. Either you actually are and they say, you know what? We can answer all. your questions on our website no you can't that's why I'm calling and then it takes what an hour or so to get in touch with someone and they're so irritated all the time and I'm like bless your heart thank you so much for giving me your time to answer my questions (23:08) but like take a breather take a nap maybe drink some coffee okay because I do not like bothering people that are already incredibly upset But something's got to get done. You know what I'm talking about. But see, maybe if it was an AI robot that could actually answer your questions. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad, but some might disagree. (23:31) Some might agree. I don't know if this will actually be implemented, but let's get into this article because it's going to go into more details. And Hank, thank you so much. Thank you so much for supporting the channel. I do appreciate it. Dangerous mouse, you are late. And you know what? We're all staring at you. (23:47) We all saw you come through the door late making that noise. You didn't even bring us coffee. You're in trouble, dude. All right, let's get into this one. Because a recent study conducted by the Alan Turing Institute has revealed that AI could potentially automate more than 80% of repetitive tasks performed by government officials, specifically improving efficiency and saving countless hours of manual work. (24:17) But they always say this, no matter the job factory or whatnot, government, they're always say, oh, we're going to make it so much better. And here's the thing. They gave us some calculations that if they were to place like AI robots in the government areas, offices, buildings, whatever, they would save 24 billion pounds annually. (24:42) Pound doesn't currency, right? Dude, that's insane. Of course, that's a great incentive for the greedy government, right? They're like, yeah, let's do it. Let's go for it. But now, but here's what they're saving. Here's how they're saving the whole argument. They're saying, look, look, look, yeah, we're going to be saving money, but it's so that our civil servants can focus on other things. (25:06) That's why we're having these robots to get rid of all that repetitive work, you know, all that boring, lame stuff. So the UK government is already taking steps to harness the power of AI with a team of 70 experts at the Cabinet Office, exploring ways to improve public services through its application. (25:36) This is a catch-22 here, and I don't really know how I feel about this. I love watching the evolution of AI. It's really interesting to see how things are changing literally every single day. But when we start taking away jobs, this is where it gets really touchy. And this is why I'd like to hear your insights on what you think about this. (26:03) Because if we might agree, oh yeah, the government, yeah, they can have AI. They can apply that to any other job. You know what I mean? So I want to know how you're feeling on this and your honest input as well. And Camp, thank you for that. Thank you for supporting the channel as well. I appreciate you. Let's see. (26:21) Charles says like Skynet. We actually covered an article like that last week on Strangest News of the Week. Highly recommend you watch it because it's becoming a reality. No question there. It is becoming a real thing. And I think by the year 2050, if I had to guess... you will see them walking their robot dogs, okay? And if they were to bump into you, right? And they say, oh, I'm so sorry. (26:51) Would you like a cup of coffee to show you how sorry I am? Would you take that cup of coffee if that dog bumped into you? Maybe that robot dog broke your leg, right? Would you take that cup of coffee? When I asked that question last week, I got I got a lot more responses than I expected because I usually ask a lot of questions on these shows and I don't get a lot of answers or at least as many as I expect. (27:21) But last week I was shocked. A lot of people said, heck, yeah, I'd take that cup of coffee. And I thought, you know what? Free coffee is free coffee. Here's my next question for you. What's your favorite kind of coffee? Hmm. Put that in the live chat and put that in the comments. For me, I really like caramel macchiato. (27:45) It's good. Actually, I just like super sugary coffee that has as little coffee as possible. I'll admit it. That is not difficult for me to do. I like the dessert type of coffee, not the black coffee. Not coffee with just creamer. It's got to have as much sugar as it does coffee. That's awful, right? That's just that's just how it is. (28:10) We have a few minutes left. And so let me this is really great because we're at the end of the show. And so I want to just give a few minutes to address your questions, maybe address your insights or your opinions on any of the articles that we covered today. Of course, let me know which one was your favorite. (28:27) Okay, I personally enjoyed the Mountain Dew attempting to have their drinks be abducted by aliens. I thought it was a cool topic. Advertising could have been a lot better, but the idea was there. So I thought it was pretty cool. But let me ask you this. Favorite article and any questions or commentary that you have? Well, that's the novelty of catching these live shows is we're able to have those kinds of conversations. (28:54) Zenza says, I need double cream, double sugar. Speak in my language, Zenza. Okay, Android, read me like a book. Well, that proves that Christina is the person who goes to Starbucks to order a Frappuccino. Let me tell you this. If you sometimes coming up, OK, I'm going to ask you to try one drink if you like sugary drinks. (29:19) And that is the green tea frap with chocolate chips. I'm telling you, it's a game changer. I have converted people, some that you know that are in this community. I have converted them to try and love green tea fraps with chocolate chips. Give it a try. It's so good. It's pure sugar, a little bit of caffeine, not worth the price. (29:41) I make them at home now, but it's a nice little treat from time to time. At least I think so. Gregory, bringing in some interesting information. M&Ms and coffee is bomb. I've never heard of that, but you know what? You're tickling my fancy. I could try it. Android says cold brew with cream. Nice. (30:06) It's good stuff. All Work and Low Pay says, I like sweet coffee too. A Timmy Ho's Double Double. I don't know what that is, but I prefer a good tea to coffee mostly. I feel you on that one. English breakfast with milk and sugar, green tea, jasmine tea, chamomile tea. Yes. Also like sometimes those fruity teas like mango. (30:29) Yeah, I can dig them. They're pretty good with honey. It's got to have honey. Let's see. Let's see. yes new yeah I'm glad I'm glad you're loving the discord and by the way this is a great plug-in thank you for that if you are if you want to continue the conversation you can bring it over to the discord server with 3 000 other like-minded members share your thoughts your insights your experiences and more and also patreon does have an exclusive discord and I'm really glad that new is (31:00) really enjoying that because you are able to share you know, pictures and memes and commentary. And I wanted to make it a really safe place, a happy place, a fun place for people to go and to talk amongst themselves freely, more so than maybe like other platforms where you get judged really hard. So I have some great moderators that monitor that to make sure that everyone is living their best life there. (31:29) So I want to say shout out to my mods both on youtube and on discord you're awesome and you work hard okay you really do so thank you for that jessica yes caramel macchiato is the best yes so good so good tyler says I don't have a starbucks here to try and he lives in australia feels I didn't know that's crazy I didn't know that was the like but they didn't exist there or where you are. (32:02) Klingon coffee says Kira. Why not? Never heard of it. Is that a real thing? If it is, I'll try it. Sounds interesting. Green tea says Android. Yes. Love it. You know, it's also really good Moroccan tea. So it's like green tea with mint and sugar or honey and It's good. It's really good. Everyone's sharing with me their favorite drinks. (32:24) You guys are so awesome. Thank you for catching this live with me today. I want to say thank you to all the Super Chat, Super Stickers, YouTube members, and Patreon supporters, and of course, all of my amazing moderators. Before you head out, check out my latest Cosmic Portals album. It is space ambient music, 20 plus tracks. (32:42) You can find that link in the description box below. And I just, I write articles for you. It's not for me. I want to make my shows as bite-sized as possible. So if you're more of a reader, check out my website, check out Medium. And those articles are for you with you in mind. I will see you all next time. (33:03) Be safe. And remember, keep your eyes on the skies.
