At 2 AM, a routine call to investigate a flare activity led Castle and his team 5 miles outside of the base, where they witnessed something that would haunt them for decades. Coming over a hill, Castle saw a 200- to 300-foot triangular craft hovering silently in the desert. The encounter lasted only a few minutes, but what happened next reveals the systematic nature of government witness control. Clad in black paramilitaries with American accents surrounded his team at gunpoint, operating with military precision despite wearing no insignia or identification. There was a gentleman, a Marine standing outside the door with a rifle, which was normal with the anthrax vaccine, because there was always some, a little bit of squabbling about taking it."

Castle speaking to Ross Coulthart: "Because this situation officially never existed, right? I have to I talk about other aspects of my service that also created PTSD. But holistically, this was a large piece that and I decided about three months ago that when I go into the VA to get my treatment, I'm I'm going to start talking about this. One of my goals is to break the stigma on this so that more people come out. I know it's happened to many other service members."

He described his condition as a moral injury. Trauma inflicted not by enemy action, but by betrayal from one's own forces. He cannot discuss the primary source for his PTSD with VA counselors because acknowledging the encounter would require admitting to witnessing classified operations that officially never happened.

26 years later, Matthew Brown's experience would mirror Castle's nightmare through different but equally destructive means. According to Brown's three-part article series on Substack, he was born in 1991 and moved to Washington, D.C. in 2015 with dreams of serving his country through intelligence work. For 13 years, he built a career within the national security apparatus, working first as a Pentagon contractor combating weapons of mass destruction proliferation. Brown's world changed in 2018 when he gained access to classified UFO videos and reports on secure government networks. But the real revelation came during routine activity duty when he discovered what he now calls the Immaculate Constellation Briefing, a clinical matter-of-fact document describing a global intelligence collection mission focused on UFOs.

According to Brown, the Immaculate Constellation operates as an AI-driven program that scans classified military and intelligence servers, identifying and quarantining UAP encounters before they can be widely distributed. And the program allegedly collects both U.S. encounters and adversary UFO encounters. When Brown attempted to report the document spillage through proper channels, every step proved anomalous. By 2023, after reporting his discoveries to Congress, Brown's life became a nightmare of surveillance and intimidation that will culminate in the violation that paralleled Castle's forced medical intervention. Brown speaking on Weaponized: "But yes, personal documents and personal identification documents were left out in a way to indicate that not only were they in the house long enough to gather such things, but clearly, you know, this isn't a robbery. As for personal effects, yeah, you know, it was a very clear message. I had, at the time, the remains of my grandfather with us, and those were removed from the house and left next to the garbage."

These tactics align with what Brown calls gaslighting, intelligence techniques designed to drive targets toward mental instability while maintaining plausible deniability.

Castle speaking to Ross Coulthart: "You get the sense these guys knew what they were doing. They meant business. One other time in my life since then, I've had a gun pointed in my head where I thought I was about to get shot in the head. And that was the first time."

Castle frames his condition as a moral injury, while Brown sacrificed 13 years of career deployment and his planned future with his wife for constitutional principles and public disclosure.
