Another military whistleblower has come forward to investigative journalist Jeremy Corbell with testimony about a strange sighting at Eglin Air Force Base, the same installation where Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, Matt Gaetz and Tim Burchett were denied access when they attempted to investigate UFO activity. The whistleblower, Army Ranger Daniel Gockerell, witnessed something in 2006 that bears striking similarities to what Dylan Borland described in his recent congressional testimony: a massive triangular craft displaying capabilities that looked out of place. But there is a crucial difference. Daniel watched this 300-foot triangular object perform repeated test runs while surrounded by military personnel, Humvees, black SUVs, and portable lighting equipment. This was not a fleeting encounter with an unknown intruder. This appeared to be an organized military operation testing technology that looked just like a UFO. Years later, at a classified meeting in Pentagon City in Virginia, Daniel met with other military witnesses who described the exact same craft, checking off every characteristic he had observed. So the question we need to answer is simple: Is this a non-human craft that our military has encountered, or is this ours? Is this fitting into the statement that the Tic Tac was Lockheed Martin's all along? As always, I'm here to report the information without bias, and you can decide what to believe. You can find the sources in my detailed articles at UFONews.com, along in the description box below. Hey, UFOlogers, I'm Cristina Gomez, and welcome to this episode of UFO News Updates.
Back in February of 2006, Daniel was confined to a medical facility at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida, recovering from catastrophic injuries sustained during Ranger School, a spine compression fracture, and traumatic brain injury from a bad parachute jump that had left him in a back brace with crutches immobilized in bed. But then late one night, something woke him up, a sound powerful enough to shake the building. He described it as a large engine powering up and down repeatedly, cycling through some kind of startup sequence. And despite his injuries, Daniel made his way to the staff deputy desk, asked for a cigarette, and stepped outside. Here's what Daniel mentioned on the Weaponized podcast: "And I saw Humvees, military personnel out there, look like, and some black SUVs. And I see hovering about 15 to 20 feet off the ground this giant maybe 300 or so feet in length aircraft. There was no visible cockpit, you know, no visible like traditional fuselage or engine like I couldn't see it. It goes straight up. And when I say hover, I don't mean in a traditional sense. So when you think about any fixed-wing aircraft, any bird that we have known to man right now, even a rotary bird, it oscillates when it hovers. This just goes straight up and it's dead quiet. Nothing, not a sound. I could hear the buzzing from the generator lights."
When he stepped outside, he immediately noticed unusual activity in an open field that appeared to be a drop zone. High mass portable generator lights, the kind used for highway construction, illuminated a structure parameter with military personnel, Humvees, and black SUVs surrounding something very strange. The absence of oscillation represents a fundamental violation of conventional aerospace engineering. Every aircraft humanity has ever built that we know of, from helicopters to the most advanced VTOL fighters, exhibits instability when hovering. Maintaining a stationary position in mid-air requires constant micro-adjusting to compensate for air currents, weight distribution, and thrust variations. So these corrections produce visible motion. And what Daniel observed was perfect stability, as if the craft was locked to a fixed point in space rather than bouncing on thrust.
When the craft banked and departed, he gained a clear profile view that revealed its geometry and lighting configuration. Daniel said on the Weaponized podcast: "This aircraft, when it banks, I can see that it's a perfect triangle and it's gigantic and it has a white light at each apex of the triangle and a large white light in the center. And it takes off and it zips out of sight. I mean, mock something we don't know. And the biggest shock to me at that point was there was no audible report. There was nothing, like something going that fast, it's gonna bust the sound barrier, you're gonna hear it."
The departure sequence presents the most significant technical anomaly. When any object accelerates faster than the speed of sound, it generates a shockwave, the sonic boom. Military jets breaking the sound barrier produce booms that can shatter windows miles away. And yet, Daniel heard nothing, but the craft didn't simply depart, it returned multiple times, and he watched it perform what appears to be repeated test runs, accelerating out of sight, returning to canopy level, pausing momentarily, and then accelerating again in the same direction. This was operational testing. The presence of military personnel, all of these Humvees and black SUVs, and even the professional lighting equipment reinforced this. According to Daniel, nobody at the base treated this as unusual. The staff duty specialist casually attributed the activity to the Aurora project and dismissed it as routine Air Force testing.
Consider this: If you witness military personnel conducting test runs of a 300-foot craft that violated basic physics, would you assume it was human technology that we developed in secret? Or would the capabilities suggest we reverse engineered something that we recovered? Drop your thoughts in the comments and subscribe to never miss the latest UFO news. What happened years later makes this question more critical than what you might think.
Eglin Air Force Base has emerged as a focal point in congressional UAP investigations. And in recent years, Anna Paulina Luna, Matt Gaetz, and Tim Burchett visited Eglin, seeking briefings and attempting to interview pilots who had reported anomalous encounters. And they faced pretty extraordinary resistance. The commanding officer allegedly left them waiting and was either relieved of duty or transferred during the visit. Congressional representatives with oversight authority were effectively stonewalled at the same facility where Daniel had watched a triangular craft perform test runs nearly two decades earlier. And it was even mentioned at the 2023 UFO hearing. Take a listen to Representative Matt Gaetz: "Several months ago, my office received a protected disclosure from Eglin Air Force Base, indicating that there was a UAP incident that required my attention. I sought a briefing regarding that episode and brought with me Congressman Burchett and Congresswoman Luna. We asked to see any of the evidence that had been taken by flight crew in this endeavor and to observe any radar signature as well as to meet with the flight crew. We were not afforded access to all of the flight crew. And initially, we were not afforded access to images and to radar. Thereafter, we had a bit of a discussion about how authorities flow in the United States of America, and we did see the image. And we did meet with one member of the flight crew who took the image. The image was of something that I am not able to attach to any human capability, either from the United States or from any of our adversaries."
Better yet, was Tim Burchett bringing it up again on the Sean Ryan show. The host asked: "What Matt said in the hearing, he said these were craft that were none of our enemies or our adversaries or or friends had, and nobody in this world had this type of aircraft. Is that correct?" Burchett responded: "And they all said, Nope, nobody's got those. Unanimously, without hesitation? Without hesitation. Just went down the line. And I'm not sure if he asked that anyway, but that led up to all that, which I thought was, I don't know if magnificent is the right word, but it was, you know, you don't ask a question unless you know the answer."
This is not a coincidence. Eglin appears, according to testimony, to function as a nexus for activities that military leadership prefers to keep compartmentalized from congressional oversight. The fact that elected officials with congressional authority to oversee military programs were prevented from accessing information at the same base where this craft was openly tested back in 2006 suggests layers of classification that extend beyond standard special access programs.
The craft's behavior during the observation period suggests controlled operational testing rather than random appearance. Daniel explained on the Weaponized podcast: "I watch this as I'm smoking my cigarette, seemingly do several touch and goes, but it doesn't go down at that little drop zone that it took off. It just comes back, stays there for a second, couple seconds, and then takes off again. Comes back, stays there for a couple seconds, takes off again. And at that point, I grew bored of it, and I was impressed, obviously. But I'm like, okay, this is our military testing some awesome technology, and you know, again, this isn't my wheelhouse, so I'm not really realizing that this is some sort of zero point energy or something that we, you know, we've never seen before."
Daniel never signed a non-disclosure agreement, an NDA. No security personnel approached him to confiscate his phone or confine him for briefing. The absence of official response in itself is either relieving or alarming, depending on who you ask. If the craft represented classified technology that civilians should not observe, standard security protocols would mandate immediate containment measures. The fact that none occurred suggests either the observation was not considered a security breach or the containment was impractical given the visible nature of the testing.
In 2024, Daniel attended a private meeting in Pentagon City with congressional investigators and other individuals who had come forward with testimony about advanced aerospace phenomena. Daniel shared on the Weaponized podcast: "When I did go up to that meeting up there, Pentagon City, I talked to a couple other whistleblowers, and they both talked about the same exact craft. It would be one thing if it was, you know, oh, I saw a flying disc and oh, this guy saw a flying disc, but no, he's literally telling me and like, just going down the list and checking off every characteristic of what I had seen."
This cooperation connects to a broader pattern of triangular craft reports from military witnesses. Dylan Borland, whose congressional testimony preceded Daniels, described a similar triangular craft, though Borland's account included a distinctive gold lava-like substance dripping from the craft, which Daniels did not observe. But this suggests either multiple variants of similar technology or the same craft operating in different modes.
Daniel himself expressed hope that the craft represents American technological advancement, telling investigators he was optimistic that the government has some control over this technology. But his testimony also reveals uncertainty. When asked why such advanced craft had never appeared in theater of war operations where they would have provided tactical advantage, he had no answer. If this technology had existed since at least 2006, why has it not been deployed? Why has it not revolutionized transportation, energy generation, or even space exploration?
