A general at one of America's most secure military installations just got asked about UFOs on camera. His response? Comparing the question to tracking Santa Claus. But journalist Ross Coulthart is not laughing. On the latest Reality Check Q&A, Ross breaks down what is really happening at Cheyenne Mountain, addresses the ongoing drone situation across Europe, and we are also going to examine why congressional UFO disclosure laws just failed for the third year in a row, and what that means for transparency. As always, I am here to report the information without bias, and you can decide what to believe. You can find all the sources in my detailed articles at UFONews.co in the description box below. Hey, UFOlogers, I am Cristina Gomez, and welcome to this episode of UFO News Updates.

Recently, NewsNation correspondent Brian Entin visited the Cheyenne Mountain Complex in Colorado and asked a direct question to a general and historian about unexplained sensor detections. Their responses were dismissive at best. In the first clip from NewsNation, the general deflects by joking about tracking Santa instead of UFOs and the historian flatly states there is nothing in the historical record about aliens being in the facility. But here is what makes this exchange significant. Just weeks ago, former US Air Force intelligence officer Case Best told Ross about strange sightings near the exact location. According to Case, multiple personnel witnessed unusual phenomena around the Cheyenne Mountain underground nuclear defense complex. This is not just some random military base. This facility houses NORAD and US Northern Command, responsible for aerospace warning and defense of North America.

Ross references specific incidents that NORAD has documented but rarely discussed publicly. In the second clip from NewsNation, Ross Coulthart explains it is kind of sad and there will have to come a moment one day when there is not the default to ridicule and stigma and taboo attached to the UAP subject. It does deserve to be taken seriously because we do know that NORTHCOM NORAD has been involved in sightings that cannot be explained. Robert Hastings, author of UFOs and Nukes, has spent decades documenting similar incidents at nuclear facilities across the US. Hastings' work demonstrates this is not isolated to Cheyenne Mountain, but represents a broader, persistent phenomenon around America's most sensitive military installations.

And the timing of this Cheyenne Mountain interview is notable because it comes during an ongoing situation across Western Europe. For weeks, multiple countries, including Norway, Denmark, Sweden, France and Germany, have reported unusual aerial activity. In the third clip from NewsNation, Ross Coulthart describes what people are telling him they have seen, and he has had hundreds of messages from people with videos and photographs. It is exactly what this correspondent suggests. Orbs, spherical orb-like objects. And this is very, very common. He has had messages from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, France, and Germany. People are telling him they are seeing these weird spherical objects, often reasonably close, like within one hundred and fifty feet. There is no discernible noise. There is no propeller, there is no jet, there is no engine noise at all. These objects are moving soundlessly. When they do move, they kind of have a glow from within.

Ross highlights a critical discrepancy. While governments and media immediately labeled these as drones and suggested Russian involvement, eyewitness accounts describe something quite different. Witnesses report silent, glowing spherical objects, some as large as a passenger aircraft, moving at impossibly slow speeds, or hovering without any visible means of propulsion. And these descriptions do not match conventional drone technology. According to Ross's analysis, despite a police raid on a Russian-flagged vessel and arrests of crew members, no drone technology has been found. After more than a week of dozens of sightings over civilian and military airspace across Western Europe, not one object has been successfully tracked to its origin or brought down using counter-UAS technology. And this raises fundamental questions about what is actually being observed.

And then, for the third consecutive year, proposed UAP disclosure legislation has failed to pass Congress. The proposed amendments to the UAP Disclosure Act, the UAPDA, which was part of the Defense Appropriations Bill, would have created stronger protections for whistleblowers and mandated greater transparency from defense contractors. Anna Paulina Luna, who chairs the House Oversight Committee's UAP Task Force, sat down with Danny Jones and revealed details about her work investigating this phenomenon. Her testimony provides critical insight into what Congress actually knows and why disclosure keeps failing.

In the first clip from the Danny Jones podcast, Congresswoman Luna explains she has had whistleblowers come forward saying that they were intimidated not to come forward or they were in fear of their life because they came forward, all this stuff. So there is something there. They have an open door policy and they will talk to people, they will bring people in a SKIF. But then also at the same sense, she has seen kind of this disinformation campaign online specifically with whenever they try to do this, people coming out trying to discredit. It is like, well, if they are not asking questions, no one is going to ask questions. And then there is a lot of chatter trying to discredit the task force prior to the hearing. And then after they had the hearing, they disappeared like cockroaches with the lights on.

What makes her position unique is that she is one of the very few members of Congress actively pushing for transparency while facing significant pushback from within her own party. Perhaps the most alarming revelation about Luna's interview concerns the Pentagon's refusal to grant congressional oversight. This represents a fundamental breakdown in the constitutional separation of powers. In the second clip from the Danny Jones podcast, Congresswoman Luna states that the information that they have seen has come out of the Department of Defense. And they have been personally denied access before by the DOD. And even up until recently, they are told that they do not have access as members of Congress to these programs. So they have to then go above the DOD to the executive branch and request access to investigate. But there have been other agencies that have briefed them on certain things, and she was pretty, I mean, she already knows that these things are out there, so it is not changing her mind or perspective.

Let that sink in. Elected representatives with top secret clearances who are constitutionally mandated to provide oversight of the DOD are being told that they cannot access certain UAP-related programs. Luna explains that they have to go above the DOD to the executive branch and request access to investigate. This confirms what whistleblower David Grusch testified under oath in 2023, that UAP programs have been hidden from the congressional oversight through improper classification and compartmentalization.

What do you think is more likely, that these are ET craft, interdimensional beings, or something else entirely? When pressed by Danny Jones about what she thinks these phenomena actually are, Luna is careful about what she wants to say, but slightly revealing. She explains her perspective has evolved through exposure to declassified information and witness testimony. In the third clip from the Danny Jones podcast, Congresswoman Luna discusses the whistleblowers she has talked to. The ones that Grusch explained it the best, but never calls it alien interdimensional, maybe. What is interesting is based on the videos that are publicly out there, these things are operating in a way that defy physics as we currently know it, so there is some, they are there to this, but she is just going off of what she has seen and what evidence has been presented to her and then testimony from whistleblowers.

Do you think the government will ever voluntarily disclose what they know about UAPs or will it require continued pressure from whistleblowers and Congress? I am Cristina Gomez and that is it for today. I will see you again tomorrow at ten AM PST for another UFO News Update. Be safe and remember, keep your eyes on the skies.
