The Roswell Police Department introduced a new patch last Friday, intertwining the city’s rich history with the Roswell Crash in 1947. Police Chief Lance Bateman announced that they hope to roll out the complete integration by year-end. This monumental task, surpassing the previous record, involved 75 continuous days of computation and utilized a whopping 1 petabyte of data storage across 36 solid-state drives (SSDs). This achievement builds on previous records, including a 62.8 trillion digit calculation by a Swiss supercomputer in 2021 and a 50 trillion digit effort by Timothy Mullican in 2020, showcasing the relentless pursuit of mathematical and technological excellence.
