An Opinion Piece

Should Partisan Politics play a part in the discussion and progress of the UFO Mystery..?

*According to Gallup Polls:

  • 9% in U.S. trust mass media "a great deal" and 31% "a fair amount"
  • 27% have "not very much" trust and 33% "none at all"
  • The percentage with no trust at all is a record high, up five points since 2019

I try to avoid the Mainstream Media News as much as possible, primarily because in my humble opinion - regardless of which network it is, it's about 5% hyped news, 55% entertainment gossip, and 40% Political bias, rants, and narrative. Just take a moment to think about that, and see if you come to a similar conclusion.

Put aside or disregard for a moment all the information and intrigue out there about Intelligence Agencies using the Mainstream News Media to influence public thought, opinion, and beliefs. Also put aside the accusations and claims that big advertising sponsors, sometimes with majority shareholders being major present, or past Political figures, in backdoor meetings forcing their political agendas into news outlet coverage; and still you're left with a bitter taste that something is very wrong with 'the news' as it's presented - well at least I do.

At the very root of every Mainstream Media News Network is the 'ratings war'. A competition of viewer statistics. And why does this matter so much..? Because the bigger the audience, the better odds of netting big time advertising bucks.

You've got to remember, 'the news' is BIG business. There's money to be made, and what better way to gain views than to hype up certain news topics, the more controversial - the better. And nothing sells better than a divisive "Us versus Them" ongoing news story.

What better "Us versus Them" ongoing news story is there than the Democrats versus Republicans 'battle'..?

THE MOSH PIT OF POLITICS
Now here's a truth for you, I don't give a flip about Politics, and a large percentage of my peers feel the same. It's the age I'm at, no doubt, but I don't think it will change for me any time soon. Literally, what comes to mind when I think of the coverage of Politics is the imagery of a mosh pit (The pit is usually behind the barrier near the front of a concert stage, usually in the center where moshers dance aggressively, jumping, bumping and slamming into each other).

Actually, I don’t even have cable TV, and that’s by choice. I’m not interested in sports, modern music, reality TV, or the news networks; and you might be surprised to know that many of my peers in College are the same, with the exception of big sporting event coverage.

Now, a big reason for this is the access granted by our smartphones to zero in on exactly those things that interest us, and the ability to beam whatever we are interested in to our smart TVs.

These are not necessarily good times for the Cable Companies, many of which actually are owned by the same moguls who own the news networks. It's now all about instant information available from many independent news outlets on the internet, being accessed through smartphones.

Now, back to the “Us Versus Them” narrative, the big money and big influence ongoing story of the Democrats versus Republicans drama, and my perspective of why partisan interest in these Political divides shouldn’t have anything to do with the UFO topic…

I’ve posted videos from many news networks over the last year that feature news stories about UFOs, the DoD UAP Report, the ongoing congressional push for 'UFO Disclosure', oversight, and UFO sightings. The message has always been my focus; the debate, the discussion, and most of all the refreshing level of seriousness that the topic is receiving.

Now, I have a group of vigilant supporters who always give me a heads up when a new news video hits, and then if I find it to have good coverage, I will post it.

Disproportionately those news reports have originated with FOX news, and Tucker Carlson.

A WAVE OF DISGUST
Within a short time of posting, a wave of disgust and hate manifests across all my Social Media platforms against Tucker and/or FOX news. I can’t be bothered to list the insults and smears that invariably get posted, but they are the same from video to video.

And it’s lost on me, because I don’t watch FOX or Tucker Carlson, so I don’t know (or care) about his Political leanings. I’m not posting for the sake of Tucker, or FOX, but rather for the content of the message of whoever they are interviewing, or the body of the story they are presenting.

If it’s Marco Rubio, Mark Warner, or Tim Burchett being interviewed, and they are talking about closed door briefings on UFOs, and they are alarmed, and pushing for transparency, and more information to come out of the Pentagon, I don’t give a flip if they are Republican, Democrat, or the Guns and Dope Party - if they are in elected seats of power in the House, or Senate, they MATTER, what they do and say carries weight where the UFO topic is concerned.

I’m not going to get hung up on their Politics, or their Religion, or their morals - I’m only interested in what they CAN DO to bring more seriousness to the UFO mystery, and what they CAN DO as Public Servants to bring the Classified UFO information into the public domain.

It’s as simple as that. That’s me. And I also don’t give a flip about people being triggered by the news channel or the host that is bringing the story to the public. That’s nothing I can do anything about, and everyone has the right to get triggered, get enraged, be partisan - or - ingest and contemplate the information being given.

And by the way, here’s a thought for you to consider…

Many times I get thanked by UFO enthusiasts from other countries who also don’t give a flip about American Politics, or News Media bias, for bringing the news report to their attention; this is what it’s all about, dissemination to everyone of developments and progress in the debate, reports, and transparency regarding the UFO mystery.

After some cursory research, what I do find even more curious, is that the mainstream news networks are predominantly Democrat leaning, including CNN, MSNBC, ABC, and NPR, leaving FOX as the only high ranking conservative news network.

FOX NEWS MOST WATCHED CABLE NEWS MEDIA
An excerpt from an *article on Deadline.com states, “Fox News averaged 2.86 million viewers in primetime, up 19% from the same month a year earlier. MSNBC averaged 1.28 million, down 29%, and CNN averaged 1.22 million, up 1%.

*In the 25-54 demo, Fox News averaged 529,000, up 41%, while CNN posted 366,000, up 25%, and MSNBC was at 183,000, down 23%.

The figures are from Nielsen and were released by Fox News.

In total day during March, Fox News averaged 1.82 million, up 43%, and CNN posted 886,000, up 9%. MSNBC averaged 780,000, down 24%.”

So, the reason I included the above stats is because the majority of the PUBLIC are watching FOX news, even after the fact that they are Conservative/Republican leaning, so they must be doing something right, I guess..?

In any case, I will end this opinion piece by again saying that I don’t believe there is anything Partisan about the UFO topic. This is a mystery that transcends Politics, Religion, Race, and Creed.

I’m not going to shoot the messenger. Bring on the message..!!

I have seen so much bickering and fighting on various Social Media platforms in regards to Political division, and really shocking levels of hate directed at individuals simply for their Political affiliation, and I don't really get it - cannot rationalize how this occurs with the level of rage I have seen.

Over the period of time I have been involved in the UFO topic, I have noted a steady increase in the amount of 'back and forth' between Enthusiasts, Researchers, and Journalists who are neck deep involved in the coverage of the UFO mystery. And you guys are supposed to be the beacons of 'true and unbiased information' as many sell yourselves.

That's SO disappointing to me, and no doubt to any newbies who are trying to gain a reasonable understanding of the situation, and especially young people who really aren't interested in the "Us versus Them" Political battle.

The purpose of posting these TV News videos is in the hope that individuals who have not considered the importance, or seriousness of the topic, get exposed to this paradigm shifting phenomenon, and especially young people - who will be the Politicians and Lawmakers, the Journalists, the Military, and the Scientists of the future.

Finally, no doubt this article will be found to be ‘triggering’ by some. Just remember this, did you really give a flip about Politics when you were 22 and in College..?
