Military Men Get their Clothes Burned Off by a UFO

On the night of November 4, 1957, Fort Itaipu in São Paulo, Brazil at around 2:00 A.M., two guards observed a brilliant light descending from the sky at an incredible speed, initially mistaken for a star. However, it soon became clear that it was an object heading straight for them. As it hovered approximately 1000 feet above, it dramatically slowed, revealing itself as a circular craft, about 100 feet in diameter, radiating an intense orange glow. Captain Joao Gouveia da Silva, among the witnesses, noted the UFO’s metallic surface and unusual markings. Suddenly, the object emitted a loud humming sound and a blast of heat so intense it felt as though they were enveloped in flames, causing their uniforms to catch fire and leading to chaos among the guards and troops.

The aftermath of the incident plunged the barracks into disorder, with Dr. Olavo Fontes, an investigator, recounting a scene of panic as the facility lost all power, including backup generators. The incident, lasting about three minutes, ended with the fort’s commander imposing a strict ban on discussing the event. Soldiers received medical treatment for their burns, and the fort was quickly placed under martial law. The investigation attracted interest from both Brazilian and U.S. military officials, with intelligence officers leading the probe.

UFO seen during the Korean War

In May 1951, during the Korean War, Private First Class Francis P. Wall and his regiment, stationed near Chorwon, witnessed an unusual object resembling a “jack-o-lantern” descend across the mountains and into a nearby village under artillery fire. Wall, in a 1987 interview with John P. Timmerman of the Center for UFO Studies, described the object’s remarkable durability amidst artillery air bursts and its transformation into a pulsating blue-green light upon being fired at with armor-piercing rounds. The encounter escalated as the object emitted a ray in pulsing waves, causing a burning sensation among the soldiers, who then sought shelter.

Following the incident, the affected company required medical evacuation due to symptoms including dysentery and unusually high white blood cell counts, suggestive of radiation exposure according to UFO researcher and former NASA scientist Richard F. Haines. This event is part of a broader pattern during the Korean War, with numerous soldiers reporting encounters with UFOs. Over the course of the conflict, unofficial tallies suggest that up to 42 such sightings were corroborated by additional witnesses, highlighting a recurring phenomenon of unexplained aerial observations over the battlefield.

Military Official Tries to Shoot UFO and FAILS

In 1979, Uruguay became a pioneer in South America by establishing an official UFO investigation agency, inspiring similar initiatives in Chile, Argentina, Ecuador, and Peru. Among the numerous cases it examined, the Isla de Lobos incident in 1972 is particularly noteworthy for its detailed investigation and compelling evidence. The incident involved five Navy personnel stationed at a lighthouse on Isla de Lobos, which also served as a Navy base. On the night of October 28, Corporal Juan Fuentes went to check the electric generators and encountered a multicolored, humanoid-occupied craft. Despite his initial intent to shoot, Fuentes was stopped by a telepathic message advising against it, after which the craft departed swiftly.

Although Fuentes was the sole witness, his account was supported by Senior Officer Francisco Cascudo, who vouched for Fuentes’ reliability. The case caught the attention of two American officials from the “Spatial Investigation Service,” intrigued by Fuentes’ detailed observation. Despite the skepticism often surrounding such reports, the Isla de Lobos incident remains a highly regarded and probable case of extraterrestrial visitation in South America, underscored by the seriousness with which it was investigated and the credibility of the witness involved.

UFO Flap off the Coast of Spain

In the early hours of November 12, 1976, at the Talavera la Real Air Base in Badajoz, Spain, soldiers José María Trejo and Juan Carrizosa Luján experienced an unsettling encounter with a UFO, accompanied by a series of unexplained auditory and visual phenomena. Their patrol was disrupted by a sound resembling radio interference, followed by a bright light in the sky, and the subsequent appearance of a three-meter-tall figure bathed in green light, composed of luminous points. The soldiers’ response, firing 40 to 50 bullets at the figure which then vanished, left no trace despite an extensive search by 50 men the following day. This incident, characterized by the absence of bullet casings or impact marks, and the testimonies of the soldiers involved, was officially acknowledged by the Air Force, albeit with speculation by some, like Army veteran Vicente Juan, suggesting a hallucinatory experience fueled by fear.

Several months prior, on June 22, 1976, the Canary Islands witnessed a separate but equally mystifying UFO event, observed by thousands and subsequently investigated by the Spanish Air Force. This investigation, detailed in J. J. Benitez’s book “UFOs: Official Documents of the Spanish Government,” and further publicized with the 1994 release of investigation files, provided over a hundred pages of witness testimonies, including that of a Navy ship’s captain who reported a yellow-blue light displaying remarkable maneuvers without radar detection. Despite the extensive investigation, no conventional explanation for the sightings was found.
