Popocatépetl, an active volcano in Mexico, is a site of numerous UFO sightings and ancient legends. Many claim that UFOs are attracted to the mountain or perhaps even using it as a base. Live cameras monitoring the volcano for safety reasons have captured unidentified objects near or even apparently entering and exiting the crater. These objects often appear to be moving with purpose and intelligence. The mountain is also steeped in rich indigenous mythology, with the Aztecs and other civilizations weaving it into their mythology and cosmology.
